The Quran (Muslim sacred text) explains that God (Allah) will raise the dead. For Muslims, life is in three stages – life on Earth, life after death, and life after judgement day. Life after death is where the one and only God, Allah, keeps souls – the good in a nice place, the bad in a nasty place. These souls will stay here until Allah decides it is ‘judgement day’. On this day, Allah will destroy the world and all the dead will raise from their graves, ready to be judged to enter either paradise or hell. Allah calls an angel to ‘blow the horn’ and the sky will crack and the earth will flatten. All graves will be overturned, and people will be returned to their original physical bodies ready for judgement. The horn blows again - everyone will rise and it will be a ‘universal gathering’ (Islam Religion). Allah will judge everyone and those who are good and faithful will walk over the bridge to enter paradise eternally. Muslims do not believe in the process of reincarnation like some religions, but eternal life.
The word Muslim simply means 'one who submits to Allah' (Got Questions Org). Muslims believe in the one and only God, believe in angels, the prophets, the revelations of Allah, the last day of judgement, life after death and Allah's will. Those of this faith pray to Allah five times a day - these at at dawn, midday, late afternoon, after sunset and again before midnight. This prayer time is extremely important to those of Muslim belief.
